Activision has announced today that the
Call of Duty Elite beta is now open for Playstation 3 users. Beta access will be rolled out in stages with limited invitations going out today.
Call of Duty Elite will use
CoD: Black Ops as its test-bed. Features like stat tracking, the use of custom player groups, competitive events and video sharing will be some of the first things tested by this beta. The bulk of features will be added at its official launch on November 8th with
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. And just a reminder: premium members of
Call of Duty Elite will get all downloadable content for
MW3. That's 20 DLC packs that are scheduled to come out over
MW3's nine month DLC "season."
