More On: The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest
It's a family-friendly action-adventure game that will support the PlayStation Move.  Do you know what it is?  Probably, since the name is in the title of this news posting: The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest.  Players will jump in the shoes of Aragorn and fight their way through the evil of Middle-earth.

We've got some box art below which reveals two things.  First, Aragorn must not like the Xbox 360.  Second, Gandalf likes the PS3 and Wii.  While I can't explain the former, the latter is indicative of the co-op gameplay that will be included on the Wii and 360.  The motion controlled action will allow Aragorn and Gandalf to fight side by side.

Look for The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest on the PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and Nintendo DS this fall.

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, The Saul Zaentz Company and New Line Productions, Inc. released the official box art for The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest video game. This family-friendly action-adventure game, which will launch with full support for PlayStation's upcoming motion controller technology, PlayStation® Move, is giving players of all ages their first chance to experience authentic The Lord of the Rings gameplay.

Wielding a sword, shield, bow and spear, players will battle enemies and journey through a colorful and fresh rendition of Middle-earth where they can switch between spear and sword on horseback, taking down evil foes in a truly action-packed gameplay experience. Exclusively for the PlayStation®3 system and Wii™, two-player motion controlled co-op gameplay featuring Gandalf allows kids, families and friends to battle side-by-side in the heart of the action. The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest is based on the films and literature of The Lord of the Rings trilogy and is scheduled for release in Fall 2010 for PlayStation®3, PlayStation®2, PSP® (PlayStation®Portable), Wii™ and Nintendo DS™. In the game, players become the legendary hero Aragorn and relive his most daring battles from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest video game will feature the voice talents of actor Sean Astin (Rudy, The Goonies, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy) and actor and vocal artist John Rhys-Davies (Indiana Jones, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy). Both Astin and Rhys-Davies will reprise their on-screen roles of Samwise Gamgee and Gimli. The game also showcases original in-game music tracks along with music from The Lord of the Rings film scores created by composer Howard Shore.
