 Is 2010 setting itself up to be the year of classic sport remakes?  Things are starting to look that way as it also looks like Tecmo's classic gridiron game, Tecmo Bowl is coming back for more in 2010.  Granted, the game saw a pseudo-rebirth back in 2008 with the DS version of Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff, but rumors broke out late last week that there is a new game called Tecmo Bowl Throwback on deck for both the PlayStation Network and the Xbox Live Arcade.  Numerous gaming sites posted about an updated version of the SNES version of the game.  The term "updated" is used lightly as the game is mainly getting just a new coat of paint and some new tunes... the core mechanics of the game, including the team / character stats and everything look to be preserved from the original.  Hopefully there will be an official announcement on the game made soon and we can get some solid information...
