Bungie auctioning off items for one of our own

More On:

It goes without saying that the video game industry is a very tight community. From the producers, gamers, communities, developers and journalists that cover them, many paths ultimately cross over time. In this case, there was the recent passing of Michael Forgey, a producer who recently passed away from cancer. I didn't know Michael, although I am sure I am familiar with his work.

With his untimely passing, Bungie has jumped in feet first to assist the Forgey family by hosting a charity auction of some excellent items. I encourage everyone to visit the page and open your wallets and bid if you can. We have all lost someone to an untimely passing, especially from cancer. With all proceeds to benefit the family, let's help these folks out to help ease the sadness they are going through.

From the Auction page dedicated to raising funds for Mike's family:

Michael Forgey was a much loved video game producer who recently passed away from cancer. All of his friends in the game industry have decided to work together to sponsor this auction to help out Mike's family. Don't miss this rare opportunity to bid on these unique items. All proceeds go to his family.

You can visit the charity auction at its dedicated page at: http://stores.ebay.com/Mike4GAuction/
