Activision has announced that the
Skylanders franchise of games and figurines has reached more then $500 million in U.S. retail sales. In addition, the sales of the Skylanders figurines have outsold all of the other action figure lines in the U.S. The sequel
Skylanders Giant earned more than $195 million in U.S. sales proving that gamers simply can't get enough of the series.

Toys For Bob in 2011, I was able to get an early glimpse of Skylanders and witness firsthand the dedication of the developers behind the game's creation. With Skylanders earning its spot among the top selling brands by Activison, it's not difficult to foresee the series receiving a yearly product release as with the
Call of Duty series.
