If you live in or near Venice, CA it looks like a very promising gamer soiree will be taking place for the Skate 3 launch tomorrow. EA will be hosting said event and providing the entertainment and the free food.
The entertainment comes in the form of Skate 3 rounds with professional skaters, while the food will be served off the “Hall of Meat” truck in tribute to one of the game’s gameplay modes. If you visited PAX East this year, you might remember the (perhaps wrongfully) hilarious wipe-outs made in the name of over-the-top tricks in this mode. Read on for event details.

Please join EA at the Venice Beach Skate Plaza on Wednesday, May 12 to celebrate the release of SKATE 3, the latest edition in the award-winning franchise. Local gamers will have a chance to challenge some of the world’s top professional skateboarders in the SKATE 3 videogame to see who is the top virtual skater.
In addition to playing the game and skating with the pros, a SKATE 3 food truck will be on-site to hand out free meals to the fans. The game features a mode called “Hall of Meat” -- a fun and unique area where gamers attempt to pull off over-the-top tricks for the high points, often with hilarious, bone-crushing results. The food truck is inspired by the “Hall of Meat” mode in the game.
