The folks at Ironclad games have done a balance adjustment to Sins of a Solar Empire
in the latest patch which should be available next week. Outside of a few fixes and tweaks the notes for the patch
includes all kind of adjustments to what the various ships in the game do and their various capabilities. It's certainly nice to see a developer supporting their product well over a year and a half after it's released but I'm sure these changes are going to piss someone off somewhere.
