We knew about Free Fall being a bonus map for those who pre-order Call of Duty: Ghosts
for a while now, but today we get our first preview of the map.
The goal of Free Fall is to bring the cinematic elements of single player into the multiplayer battlefield. You play in a building that has fallen over and has become wedged between two other buildings. The floor of the map are the glass windows from the side of the building. The other great thing about the map is that it will be constantly plummeting to the streets below so your line of sight will be changing as well. The next gen technology has allowed for them to create more dynamic maps that change with action. Hopefully this means the other multiplayer maps will be dynamic as well.
I wonder if we can shoot out the glass below to make enemy players fall to their death. That would be awesome!
Remember that this map is currently only available for those who pre-order and it will be available at launch. They did the same thing with Nuketown in Black Ops 2
and that became paid DLC later on so I assume this map will be the same deal.
Call of Duty: Ghosts
launches on November 5th for PS3, 360 and PC. Next gen version will be available at their console launches as well.
