March is the month for XBLA...

 Major Nelson let the cat out of the bag on his blog that March is being targeted as a big month for the Xbox Live Arcade.  The month will see a slew of highly anticipated releases in the form of Toy Soldiers, Scrap Metal, Perfect Dark, and Game Room.  The promotion is being referred to as the Xbox Live Arcade Block Party.  Everything kicks off on March 3 with the release of Toy Soldiers on the digital distribution platform for 1200 Microsoft points.  Each of the other titles will be released on the following Wednesdays throughout the month, though the specifics have yet to be revealed. Here is what you can expect to pay for the titles as they are released:
 
Perfect Dark HD- 800 Microsoft points ($10)
Scrap Metal- 1200 Microsoft points ($15)
Toy Soldiers- 1200 Microsoft points ($15)
Xbox Game Room- free download
 
Although the Xbox Game Room itself is being offered as a free download, you will be required to buy the individual classic games for usage within the software.  Each title will be available in three different pricing tiers:
 
Single platform (Xbox 360 or PC)- 240 Microsoft points ($3)
Dual platform (Xbox 360 and PC)- 400 Microsoft points ($5)
Pay per play (Xbox 360 or PC)- 40 Microsoft Points ($0.50) per play
