It looks like the rumors that were going around last week were true as Dell has
officially bought out Alienware. While no terms of the deal were announced, Alienware was on track for over $225M in sales this year and when you buy a company it's usually at a multiple of it's estimated earnings. The good news is that for now that Dell plans on allowing Alienware to operate as it's own entity with their own separate marketing and management. No word on if this will impact Alienware's new low end computer business or Dell's high end XPS line.
