December's Guitar Hero/Band Hero DLC announced

More On: Guitar Hero 5 Band Hero

Activision has announced next month's musical DLC, compatible with both Band Hero and Guitar Hero 5. Virtual goodies make good stocking stuffers...and you don't even have to buy a stocking.

On December 3rd, metal band The Fall of Troy (last seen on a GH 3 bonus track) hits hard with a track pack featuring "Panic Attack," "A Classic Case of Transference," and "Single," all from their new album "In The Unlikely Event."

December 12th brings a track pack from OneRepublic, an American pop/rock band (and you thought the two were mutually exclusive) who made their grand debut as World Tour DLC. "All the Right Moves" and "Everybody Loves Me" are from their new album "Waking Up," while "Mercy" comes from their first studio album.

December 17th is my favorite DLC of the month, an indie rock track pack featuring Nada Surf's "Hi-Speed Soul," Pavement's "Cut Your Hair," and Spoon's "Sister Jack."

On December 22, a little class comes to your 360 or PS3 (sorry, Wii owners) with a free download of Steve Ouimette's version of "Hark The Herald Angels Sing."

Also on December 22nd, a Celebrity New Years Rock Track Pack becomes available. Kick it to pop hits (Taylor Swift's "Our Song" and Maroon 5's "Harder to Breathe) and ring in the New Year with No Doubt's "New."

Each of the four track packs are available for 440 MS points, $5.49 on PSN, or 550 Wii Points. You can pick up the tracks separately for 160 MS Points, $1.99 on PSN, and 200 Wii Points. The Christmas track is free and appears on the 360 and PS3 only.
