Contols for games have long been moving from less realistic (Joysticks and buttons) to more realistic (motion controls that mimic real life). But virtualizing the control of real things has only been a recent revelation. So when Engadget profiled a hobbist who had taken a video game arcade console and used the inards to control an RC car on a home made cardboard track, my jaw absolutely dropped. This is the very definition of cool.
