PS3 Update: Mission successful

More On: PLAYSTATION 3
On Monday I posted about my inability to find a PS3 at a GameStop around Columbus, Ohio.  I called every day this week to locate a new system but none were to be found.  A handful of refurbished units started popping up yesterday at various stores.  Today, though, the store closest to my home got a fresh shipment.  I'm now the proud owner of a slim 120GB model.

Side Story
While I was there I picked up a copy of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.  The Uncharted series is a big reason why I wanted a PS3.  When I showed my wife the game, she was intrigued by the premise.  She likes classic video games (of the 2D Mario and PS1 Crash Bandicoot ilk) so I wasn't too surprised until she asked me to play it so she could watch.  Let's see: someone asks me to play my brand new console on our biggest TV.  How could I say no?

To my surprise, she loved every minute of it.  She even told me that I'm not allowed to play it if she's not watching.  The story moves along enough to keep her interested and she "coaches" me on how to solve puzzles.  This is a rather interesting development that I enjoy.  Have you ever played a game while someone watched in this fashion?  Or do you like to occasionally watch someone else play a game so you can take in the scenery?
