Announced a while ago, we finally have the official release of the Meta Quest 3S Xbox Edition. This Xbox branded Quest 3S headset comes with the Elite Strap, Xbox Controller, and 3 months of Gamepass for $399.99.
Other than those inclusions, the internals are still the same as a Quest 3S. It has 128GB of storage, Fresnel lenses, a resolution of 1,832x1,920 pixels per eye, and a FOV of 96 degrees by 90 degrees. Buying a Quest 3S stand along would cost you $299.99 and if you add up all the additions that they are throwing in, you're saving about $90 if you decide to pick up this bundle.
Microsoft released an Xbox app last year to allow you to play Xbox games streamed to the headset giving you a nice big virtual screen. Of course, you can play so much more and there are ton of VR games that the Gaming Nexus staff loves to play on it. A few of us are really digging Pinball FX VR right now, and there are a ton more that you can play that are truly enjoyable.
You don't have to get this bundle to play Xbox games in a virtual environment. If you have a Quest 2 or one of the Quest 3 variants, just install the Xbox app and off you go. But for those who don't have one, this isn't a bad bundle to pick up with all that's included.
