Ubisoft’s real-time strategy game The Settlers: New Allies is headed to PC on February 17th, the French publisher announced today. In a welcome surprise, the title was also revealed to be in development for Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Amazon Luna.

The news was revealed as part of a developer update from Ubisoft’s Dusseldorf studio, which you can view in its entirety below. In The Settlers: New Allies, you will settle a new land and build communities while discovering a variety of factions. It will be up to you to decide whether to welcome them as allies or enemies – whichever is best for your settlement.

The Settlers: New Allies will arrive with three game modes at launch: a single-player campaign, a hardcore mode, and a multiplayer skirmish mode. Skirmish includes the ability to play both solo or cooperatively against the AI, or in PvP with up to eight players across 12 maps.

A lot of RTS titles skip a console release altogether, so this is most welcome news from Ubisoft. The game was originally announced to release on March 17th of this year, and is a reboot of the long running PC strategy series that included 13 sequels and spin-offs.
