A44 Games, the New Zealand-based developer behind 2018's open world RPG Ashen, and publisher Kepler Interactive have announced the 2022 release of a new action/RPG. Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn was announced with the following trailer, which doesn't show much in the way of gameplay, but was indeed created with in-engine visuals.
According to a recent press release, Flintlock takes place in a world newly invaded by an army of the Undead. "With an open world to explore, leave your mark on a vast battlefield as you travel through desert sands, cavernous ruins and towering cities filled with secrets and lead mankind’s final siege against the tide of the dead. Players must embrace their creativity and master a rewarding combat system by blending axe wielding, gunplay, magic and more to unleash powerful combos and prevail over the most powerful beings in creation."
Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn will be available later in 2022 on PC, PlayStation consoles and Xbox consoles (including a release on Game Pass).
