Console fans are going to have to wait a bit longer for Chernobylite

More On: Chernobylite

I've been sorely tempted to play Chernobylite on my PC, but I've been holding out for a console version so I can experience the game on the largest screen in my house. Looks like I'm going to be holding out a little longer.

After a successful release on PC in July, developer The Farm 51 and publisher All in! Games today announced that Chernobylite's console release date has been moved to Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Not the distant future, but also not next week.

“Chernobylite has been a labor of love and we are humbled by the reception we have gotten so far from both players and critics,” said Wojciech Pazdur, Director of Development at The Farm 51 in a provided statement. “We have complete trust that the All in! Games team is doing everything in their power to successfully bring Chernobylite to our fans on console. While the delay is unfortunate, it’s also entirely necessary to live up to everyone's expectations.”

Fair enough. I can wait.

To hold us over, All in! Games today released this super-cool accolade trailer, showing off parts of the game that have not yet been seen in a trailer.

Folks that simply cannot wait can grab a copy of Chernobylite on Steam today for $29.99.
