POCOYO PARTY brings the fun and learning to the tiniest gamers

More On: Pocoyo Party

As my littlest kids are getting a bit older, I've been developing a more avid interest in children's software. My eight-year-old is already an accomplished gamer, solving puzzles in It Takes Two faster than me, and happily cleaning up the Sackboy mess I left behind during my review. But my four-year-old has not yet engaged with games, instead sitting and watching in rapt interest as his sister and I attempt things that are far too difficult for him.

Which leads me to POCOYO PARTY, a game for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch that has been developed specifically for children aged 3 to 5. While this sort of thing might provoke eyerolling from older kids, something aimed right towards the little guy in my family would be incredibly welcome.

I'm not super familiar with the Pocoyo franchise, but it is Spanish/English children's program that has gained worldwide popularity. Pocoyo is the main character, and he is a small child who loves to play and learn, but is also "highly self-centered, distracted by the simplest things, easily frustrated, frequently jealous of his friends, and disobedient". Sounds like a real kid.

POCOYO PARTY is geared directly towards the smallest children capable of holding a controller in their hands, and is therefore of great interest to me and my family. I'm going to dig a little deeper on this one, and may be following up with more information soon.

POCOYO PARTY is now available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
