HTC comes out with a smaller, more efficient Vive tracker

If you want to get into full body VR tracking, you're going to need a few more trackers. The original ones that HTC sold did the trick, but after a few years, there's bound to be improvements in technology.

Today, HTC announced new versions of their HTC Vive Trackers and they are smaller, last longer, and weigh less as well. Coming in at $129.99 each, these new trackers weighs 75g, lasts 75% longer than the 2018 version or up to 7.5 hours, and can now recharge via USB-C. Thank goodness as I hate fiddling with USB plugs so seeing the move to USB-C is a nice welcome update.

They are also backwards compatible with the old base stations so whether you have the latest Lighthouse or the original ones, you're good to go.

You'll be able to order one soon, but from what it shows on paper, there's some nice updates to the tracker that will really help those who want to get into full body tracking or tracking other objects in VR.
