When Tinybuild's Party Hard hit the scene in 2015 is was like the perfect result of a game jam, the kind of indie title you hear about but don't really believe can come out of such a rushed collaboration. Now the sequel, Party Hard 2, is coming out tomorrow, October 25th, and it brings the same premise and gameplay with a host of new features.
The main concept remains the same: it's 3am, you're really tired, but there's a crazy party going on next door, and the only logical course of action is to covertly murder people until the party breaks up. The sequel adds the ability to set off chain reactions by mixing various elements for more destructive chaos than what you could dish out with just your knife, although that's definitely still an option. You can also use the new crafting system to build new implements of destruction, such as a lighter combined with a gas can. There are four playable characters and multiple play styles, so you can kill selectively and spare civilians or just go on a (subtle) murder spree. Naturally all of this comes with a new 3D environment and Twitch integration. Check out the Smell of Violence below for a closer look at the story and gameplay.
Party Hard 2, the thrilling sequel to 2015’s stealth strategy hit Party Hard, launches on October 25. You just want to get some sleep... But it's 3am, and once again your neighbors are having a loud party. The only logical thing to do? Put an end to it – by any means necessary!
With brand-new 3D visuals, Party Hard 2 allows players to choose from hundreds of ways of dealing with noisy partygoers, while incidentally destroying a drug syndicate, or maybe saving the Earth from an alien invasion, all in one night!
Along with awesome new features like Insta-Kill and Party Vision, Twitch integration returns in Party Hard 2, refined and reworked to be better than ever! Viewers are no longer just witnesses: they become active participants by spawning items, traps, and party goers that can be helpful or harmful to the streamer. Add a Molotov cocktail to throw at the police for a quick escape, or add a bouncer to knock the player out if they try to get past.
Party Hard 2 stays true to its crazy, party-crashing roots while introducing tons of shiny features:
