As if I wasn't already obsessing with word counts over my graduate school applications, along comes the trailer for the latest expansion to Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, titled Dissonance of the Nexus.
Releasing January 18th, 2019, the trailer is light on everything except visuals. Billed as the epilogue to the game, the text in the video states that the player will "Meet a girl alone in snowy world where she does not belong", followed by some teary music and rushing shots of a spiraling tower and an airship that looks like the Subspace Emissary from Super Smash Bros Brawl.
A press release accompanying the trailer states that "three new playable characters in addition to Sachi" (a character voted on by players) are appearing in the expansion, and that "core characters from [expansions] Lost Song and Ordinal Scale" will also be present.
Characters from prior expansions include Seven from The Lost Song, as well as Yuna and Eiji from Ordinal Scale.
Free updates patched into the game after the expansion will feature a new dungeon and boss battle to online co-op.
