EA closes Visceral Games, refocuses the Star Wars game they were working on

In some sad news today, EA announced they are going to close Visceral Games studio. Visceral was in development of an untitled Star Wars game, but that game seems to have been shuttered and will now shift the game's experience. EA Vancouver's going to take it over with help from various other EA studios worldwide.

We never got many details on what game they were working on, but it's never good to see a studio completely close because of decisions like this. Visceral Games, started in 1998, was responsible for the Dead Space series as well as other various EA titles.

The Star Wars game was suppose to be coming out sometime in the fiscal year of 2019, but now it's unknown when they will be aiming to release the game. Here's hoping the folks at Visceral who are affected by this land on their feet relatively quickly.
