Do you remember the Christopher Nolan film Inception, where you could only escape a dream by killing yourself inside the dream? Now imagine that as a game, but the stakes are even higher: you're relaxing on the couch watching TV, you doze off, and now you must desperately find a way to wake up before your beer slips out of your hand and spills all over the floor.
That is the premise of the deceptively titled Suicide Guy, an indie game that recently came out on Steam. The title may sound like another preachy, faux-nihilist "press X to contemplate the meaninglessness of your existence" indie game, but the actual game is much more serious. You've gotta find a way to kill yourself in your dream before you spill beer all over your pants! As you might expect, dreams can vary widely between a fast food joint, a space station, and the cave of a fire-breathing dragon. In each dream, you've got to find a way to bite the big one as quickly as possible, which isn't as easy as you might think. Suicide Guy is a puzzle-platformer-adventure where you must put a lot of thought and planning into killing yourself--a walking simulator this ain't.
