Razer unleashes two new Tiamat headsets in the 7.1 V2 and the 2.2 V2

The Razer Tiamat headsets have been some great gaming headsets. Having owned the original 7.1 version, it provided good quality sound and good clear voice communication. 

Razer is now updating that line with two new headsets. The Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 has five drivers in each ear cup to help create awesome 7.1 directional surround sound. It's got a rotating mic that can be moved out of the way when not in use. Included is an Audio Control Unit that lets you control the sound as well as let you plug in speakers so if you want to switch between the headset or your speakers, it can easily be done through the unit.

Of course, the ear cups and Audio Control Unit has the Chroma feature so you can get a nice colorful display of lights that can be adjusted via Razer's software.

The Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 is out now for a price of $199.99.

For those who aren't looking a less expensive but still very capable headset, Razer also has the Tiamat 2.2 V2 coming at you. This $129.99 headset should excel in 2.1 sound and has a single audio connector for connection to the PC and mobile devices such as your phone or Nintendo Switch.

Each cup holds a 50mm driver and there's a rotating boom mic for voice communications. It's got inline controls so you can control your audio easily as well. 

Both headsets are now available worldwide.

Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2
The Razer Tiamat 7.1 V2 is an analog, true 7.1 surround sound PC gaming headset featuring 10 discrete drivers, five per ear cup, creating an immersive soundstage, essential for pinpoint positional audio and deep gaming immersion. Each ear cup contains a 40 mm subwoofer, 30 mm front (L/R) and center drivers and 20 mm rear and side surround drivers, working together to create highly accurate directional audio.
