Google buys the makers of Job Simulator and Rick and Morty VR

Job Simulator was one of the really big hits early on when VR was starting out. The game was just amazingly fun and really showed off some great humor along with being a solid experience with the HTC Vive. They last hit was Rick and Morty Virtual Rick-ality, which I enjoyed as well.

Those two solid titles have paid off as Owlchemy Labs was picked up by Google. The acquisiton doesn't mean they're going to stop building games for the HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, or PlayStation VR. But I do think this could help jumpstart Google's Daydream, which seems to have lost a lot of steam after the announcement last year. But, I think that's also due to Google's fault of not having more than eight phones by Daydream compatible right now. It also doesn't help that they aren't really pushing it.

Congrats to Owlchemy Labs and let's hope more great VR games will be coming out of them.
