IT'S HAPPENING! Spike Chunsoft announces Fire Pro Wrestling World

Tears. There are actually tears coming out of my eyes. This is the happiest I have been for a videogame announcement and god knows how long. After 12 long years, Fire Pro Wrestling is back. 

At Spike Chunsoft's press conference at GDC, Spike announced Fire Pro Wrestling World, a brand new Fire Pro Wrestling game for the PS4 and Steam. The game will be a return to the classic Fire Pro style of gameplay that has been a staple of the series for the last 20+ years. This time around, Fire Pro will be going online for the first time and will include the biggest creation suite in series history.

• PLAY ONLINE: Organize exhibition matches, tournaments, leagues, championship bouts and battle royals withplayers from around the world.
  MIX UP THE RULES: Modes include Deathmatch (steel cage, barbed wire or landmines), MMA–style and no–holdsbarred Gruesome Fighting.
  UNLIMITED CUSTOMIZATION: Create your dream wrestler from over a thousand devastating moves and even more body parts to battle for custom championship belts. Personalize the ring, mat logos and even the referee, then share your creations with the world.
• REALISTIC SIMULATION: Give your creations personalities with a robust CPU logic system that defines their every action.Does your wrestler play to the crowd, or play dirty? You provide actors for the ringside drama.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is currently scheduled to be released on Steam early access in Q2 2017 with the PS4 version being released soon after that.
