Star Wars Battlefront beta kicks off October 8

Star Wars fans only have a few more weeks before they can put down their recently-acquired toys and pick up their controllers for the official open beta of Star Wars Battlefront. The beta test, which is open to all players, will run simultaneously on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from October 8 through October 12.

Players will get a chance to try out three of the game’s modes spread across three different maps.

Your choices will be:

• Walker Assault on Hoth: 40 player battle as Rebels fighting to take down an onslaught of AT-AT’s
• Drop Zone on Sullust: 16 players battling it out to control escape pods landing throughout the map
• Survival Mission on Tatooine one or two players battle against waves of enemies

You can sign up and reserve your spot in the beta now through the game’s official website. You can bet that a majority of the GN staff will be online trying it out across all three platforms both during the beta and after the game’s official release on November 17, 2015.
