More On: Disney Infinity 3.0

Talk about one of the worst kept secrets in the industry: Disney Interactive confirmed Disney Infinity 3.0 and it includes Star Wars figures. The next installment in the action-figure driven franchise will feature a bunch of new figures and characters, including many from the various Star Wars properties.

The game will launch this Fall, just in time for Episode 7‘s December release, and include the game, the Infinity base, as well as Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano figures from Star Wars: The Clone Wars. These are the first two characters from the first of three Star Wars playsets, each set during a timeline period of the franchise. This one, obviously, is set during Episodes 1 through 3 and is called “Twilight of the Republic”, plus there will be “Rise Against the Empire" which will chronicle the original trilogy, as well as a set based on the new movie, The Force Awakens. You know as well as I do that there are going to be plenty more figures available too; quite a few have been confirmed so far including Obi-Wan, Darth Maul, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Darth Vader.

Star Wars isn’t the only property being included for Disney Infinity 3.0 as numerous other Disney and Marvel characters have been shown as well. You can look forward to new figures and playsets featuring the likes of Olaf (Frozen), Mulan, Ultron, Hulkbuster Ironman, plus the characters from the upcoming Pixar film Inside Out.

The game will be available on all of the usual platforms: 360, Xbox One, PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U and 3DS. Start saving up now as you will need all of the extra money you can when this new set and toys launch this Fall.
