More CoD DLC! Mariachis! Aliens! Egyptian Gods!

More On: Call of Duty: Ghosts

Hey all you CoDdog lovin' Ghost fans, the third DLC pack is coming to PS4, PS3 and PC on July 3rd. "Invasion" includes four new multiplayer maps (Departed, Pharaoh, Mutiny, and Favela), each with a new field order, and "Awakening" the third chapter in the Extinction Storyline.

Departed is a celebration of the Dia de los Muertos set in a rural Mexican town. If you complete the Field Order, you'll unlock the Death Mariachi kill-streak. You'll stand with pistols akimbo and turned your slaughtered foes into undead mariachis. I can only assume the end of the match is like watching a Reel Big Fish concert in the fourth circle of hell.

In Pharaoh, all honor students will be rewarded with a trip to an archeological dig! Conversely, all detention students will be punished with a trip to an archeological dig. Any students that complete the Field Order (which I can only hope is unearthing an angel skeleton) will gain Anubis' favor.

As you've probably already guessed, Mutiny takes place in the dark, twisting corridors of a pirate ship- and if you complete the Field Order you get two ghosts (Get it? GHOSTS!?) to kill your enemies for you.

Favela is an updated version of the map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Instead of having the same buildings in half-construction, the buildings that were previously under construction are now completed and fully operational, while others have fallen into disrepair. Completing the field order here allows you to call in air support from a nearby gunship. So, you know, it's no wonder half the buildings are always destroyed in Favela.

The Invasion DLC for Call of Duty: Ghosts is included as part of the Ghosts DLC Season Pass, or available to purchase as a stand-alone pack for $14.99. It will be available for the PS4, PS3 and PC starting July 3rd. (Disclaimer: Price and release dates may vary by platform.) If you haven't played Ghosts yet, you should check out our reviews for the Xbox One, 360, PS4 and PS3 versions.
