inFAMOUS 2 morality explained

The Official PlayStation Blog recently hosted a post from Ken Schramm of Sucker Punch which explained the morailty system that will be implemented in the upcoming inFAMOUS 2.

In the previous games, morality issues arose in the form of “karma” moments throughout the game where the player, as Cole, had to makes decisions based on what was in his best interest versus those of the people around him. In inFAMOUS 2, the morality issues are dealt with through two non-playable characters named Kuo and Nix. Nix is young lady who was born and raised in New Marais and has an intense hatred for the game’s main villain, Bertrand. She will atempt to influence COle to act before thinking and not worry about the consequences.

Kuo on the other hand is a NSA agent who works with Cole but focuses on doing things by the books and with the best interest of the masses. The player will have to choose which NPC’s lead to follow at many points in the game, and each decision has impact on the other events down the line. You decisions have a permanent effect on the world around you, so choose wisely.

Sucker Punch has released a short trailer introducing the world to Cole and Kuo’s “bond” , which you can find below as well as a batch of new screenshots of both Kuo and Nix.
