$24,000 can go a ridiculously long way, with Xfire and Stride gum teaming up to sponsor an online Counter-Strike: Source invitational tournament.  The Xfire community (some six-and-a-half million strong) will vote for the eighth professional team to compete, but the first seven are already chosen:  CompLexity, EFG, EG, Hyper, Jax Money Crew, Team3D, and Verge.  The tournament begins March 29 followed by the quarter-final event on April 5 narrowing down to the semi-finals on May 4.  Okay.  "Ridiculously Long Lasting."  We get it.
