More On: The Sims 3
EA announced today that you will be able to start walling in and torturing your Sims in The Sims 3 on February 20th, 2009.  You'll also have the option of buying the retail copy as well as downloading the game from EA in case you want to save gas or are just too lazy to leave the confines of your house.  Sims diehards will also be able to buy a collector's edition of the game that includes some merch and a "Italian-Style Sports Car" that you won't be able to get anywhere else.

Expect the game to sell like hotcakes and spawn another near endless round of expansion packs.  I'd be a little more bitter about the game if it wasn't helping to fund more innovative games like Dead Space and Mirror's Edge.
