Miyamoto talks about the Revolution

Next Generation has a short summry of a longer Business Week interview with Shigeru Miyamoto where he talks about game design, the Revolution, and a few other topics.  The big quote for me was this:

" Most people think videogames are all about a child staring at a TV with a joystick in his hands. I don't. They should belong to the entire family. I want families to play video games together. That was the concept behind the Revolution"

I think this sums up why the Revolution is so important to the industry and how the industry is going to grow up in the coming years.  By growing up I mean not only maturing but reaching out to an older audience that normally doesn't play games.  There's no way I could ever convince my parents to pick up an Xbox controller but I think I could probably talk them into trying out the Revolution controller.
