If you've read the site for a while you know that I've developed a certain fetish for cool case designs. I still love my Antec P160 but I have to admit being swayed by the new Dragon case from MGE which you can check out here. It's got all the fun things you want in case like LED readouts on the front, easy to install motherboard tray, and a bevy of little installation things to play with (I'm a dork, I downloaded the manual...they have a pretty cool way to install drives in the system).

In conjunction with the launch of the new case they are running the "Win a Dragon" contest which you can sign-up for here.
MGE States its Case with Launch of

New XG Extreme PC Cases and Power Supplies

Highly-Anticipated Dragon PC Case Breathes Fire into New XG Line and is Poised to
Create an Inferno of Excitement with "Win a Dragon" Promotion

City of Industry, CA (September 6, 2005) -- MGE Company, an innovator of high-quality computer accessories, power supplies, and cases for high-end PC systems, is poised to set the extreme PC gaming market ablaze with the release of its new line of PC cases and turbo-charged power supplies, ignited by the highly-anticipated Dragon PC case and Magnum 500 power supply. To launch the Dragon, MGE is conducting a "Win a Dragon" promotion that began September 1 and will continue through November 1, 2005. Gamers can log onto www.xgbox.com and accumulate tickets to spread the word on the new Dragon by signing up as many friends as possible to enter the contest -- this improves their chances to win the coveted case as well as compete for other prizes including the Magnum 500 power supply, XG PC Mod kit and fan grills.

"Extreme gamers take notice. Our new XG line combines the most unique styling and the latest advances in power supplies, thermal cooling technology and airflow to meet the demands of extreme gamers," said Alan Hunter, vice president of sales for MGE Company. "Gamers can now give their PC systems personality with a custom look and feel -- contrary to the "plain-vanilla" look of standard PC accessories -- yet gain the reliability of a PC case and power supply that withstands the rigors of online gaming and PC games."

MGE is also launching a lifetime warranty program on its external power supplies. "With extreme gamers pushing their systems to the limit, the integrity of the power supply becomes the critical focal point for extending the life of a PC," added Hunter. "In contrast to other companies that keep their prices lower by offering cheaper power supplies that cannot accommodate the power demands of the latest and fastest processors, MGE's 100% replacement warranty on its external power supplies gives extreme gamers 'power to spare'."

Created for gamers by gamers, MGE's new line of XG PC is led by the highly anticipated Dragon. For those gamers who want uncompromising performance at the highest levels and are willing to invest in the best of the best, the XG Dragon case is the ideal value. From its ultra gloss custom black paint and high grade aluminum chassis to its tool-less PCI slot clips, this case goes well beyond the limits of traditional types with front mount fan ports and a high-end temperature controller. Other interior features that contribute to the superiority of this case include seven expansion bays, rear 92mm fan, front 80mm fan, top I/O ports -- dual USB 2.0, speaker, microphone, and Firewire ports are also included. Plus, the Dragon's built-in 500W power supply provides reliable performance for extreme gamers. Available now, the Dragon carries a retail price of $189.

Other new cases include Ninja 2, Sidewinder 3, and Viper 2.

· Ninja 2 -- Combining functionality and radical case design with affordability, the new Ninja 2 offers a lightweight case design with heavyweight features for the extreme gamer. The front of the case features a chrome silver panel with a multi-colored Ninja emblem lit by LED lights and a new lighting effect which rotates between red, green and blue. The Ninja also features a mesh window on the side of the case that allows gamers to proudly display the power beneath the case including an 80mm fan port giving the machine maximum cooling. For added flexibility, the front chassis of the Ninja includes a 5.25" port for quick access to the most important drive bay without having to open its door. The Ninja also provides dual USB 2.0, Firewall and ATX and micro-ATX compatibility. Available now with a retail price of $49, the Ninja 2 offers the most value and functionality at a fraction of the cost of more expensive cases.

· Viper 2 -- The new Viper carries on the tradition of the case that put XG on the map in the PC case market in 2004. The Viper 2 is truly designed with the extreme gamer in mind with its stylish design, 500W power, SATA 2.0, 20 + 4 pin connector and PCI express connector. With its ultra-gloss custom red paint and hot design, the new Viper features an advanced LCD display for time, CPU temperature, alarm, and fan speed. Other advance features include a tool-less drive bay and PCI slot, a removable HDD tray, and advanced airflow with a turbo charge side vent for maximum cooling. Ideal for LAN Parties, a rugged aluminum handle sits securely on the top chassis of the case for easy portability. For added security, Viper offers a key lock and latch on the side panel. Viper 2 will be available in October at a retail price of $99.

· Sidewinder 3 -- The Sidewinder 3 ATX gaming case features a trendy design plus outstanding functionality. Offering the signature style that every hardcore gamer craves, the Sidewinder is customized with a chrome silver front door, strongly reinforced lightweight chassis, advanced airflow system, and 3 x 80mm ultra silent LED fans. Other features include a tool-free chassis, easy access external drive bay, LCD display (time, temperature, fan speed) and 450W power supply. Available in October, Sidewinder 3 retails for $69.

Beyond the power supplies that come standard with its XG PC cases, MGE accommodates the demands of extreme gamers with external units designed for systems that require a higher power source. Anchored by the explosive Magnum, these power units include Vortec, Vigor and upcoming Duro for high wattage and silent operation. Magnum provides one of the most powerful and silent power supplies on the market. This high powered unit boasts a true 600W and 500W output along with the most advanced airflow and cooling design ever developed -- all housed in a 2mm thick anodized aluminum chassis.

The Intel, ATX V2.01 approved Magnum also offers LCD display (temperature, wattage, and all three voltage lines); voltage activity lights; two PCI express power connections and 20 + 4 pin connector; external radiator to keep heat outside the system; and magnetically shielded UV modular cables. The Magnum 500 is available now for $139 with the Magnum 600 due in November.

Other power supplies include the Vortec and Vigor:

· Vortec -- The Vortec 500 offers a lightweight blue aluminum housing with two large blue LED fans that keep the interior cool to eliminate any worries about overheating the unit.
