Daniel Johnson is the new record holder for Through the Fire and the Flames in Guitar Hero 3.  During the recent GH marathon at Blockbuster in Dallas, Texas, Johnson scored 890,971 points on the Dragonforce song while playing on Expert.  My hat goes off to Daniel (I still can't play on Hard to save my life), but I wonder how he'll handle Guitar Hero World Tour and its diabolical drum kit.

When asked what he thought about breaking the world record, Daniel said, “I’m glad that I had the opportunity to break the record and help people learn about Education is Freedom.”

The previous record was held by Chris Chike who achieved a score of 880,920 in March 2008.
