More On: PlayStation Move
There is no sense in beating around the bush - Sony has unveiled the Sharp Shooter attachment for their PlayStation Move controller.  Just put in your PlayStation Move controller and navigation controller before jumping into your game of choice.  It features a digital trigger, "realistic pump-action", and an adjustable shoulder stock.

Who hasn't spent time blasting zombies in the arcade or shooting ducks on the NES system using a light gun?  Having a plastic weapon in your hands adds to the ease of aiming and helps make the experience more enjoyable (in my opinion).  This will be perfect for games like SOCOM 4 and Dead Space Extraction (or any other Move-enabled shooter).  It will be priced at $39.99 and will be available in February 2011.

There is also information about a special green Dualshock 3 controller with a price point of $54.99.  It will also be released in February.  That seems a little expensive to me but there are more details in the press release if you are interested.

December 9, 2010 – Sony Computer Entertainment America LLC (SCEA) today announced the official sharp shooter attachment for the PlayStation®Move motion controller will be available for $39.99 (MSRP) at major retailers nationwide this coming February 2011. Launching alongside the highly anticipated Killzone®3 for the PlayStation®3 (PS3®) system, the PlayStation Move sharp shooter provides the most intuitive and immersive control experience for shooter games. In addition to Killzone 3, the sharp shooter will be compatible with already released titles such as Time Crisis™: Razing Storm™, upcoming releases such as SOCOM 4: U.S. Navy SEALs and Dead Space™ Extraction, as well as many future PlayStation Move titles.

With its authentic design and precision, the PlayStation Move sharp shooter immediately places the player directly into the action. The streamlined design features easily accessible buttons, responsive digital trigger, realistic pump-action, firing mode selector, adjustable shoulder stock and convenient access to the navigation controller, allowing gamers to take aim and move into the firefight for hours of comfortable and engaging gameplay.

“PlayStation Move was designed with the goal of providing the most engaging and intuitive motion gaming experience possible, from a diverse range of genres,” said John Koller, director, hardware marketing, SCEA. “We’ve already seen a tremendous response to PlayStation Move’s launch lineup. With a heritage built on innovation and a significant lineup of shooter and action titles on the horizon, we’re truly evolving motion gaming with unmatched precision and a deeper sense of immersion than has ever been offered. When coupled with stereoscopic 3D support, such as in Killzone 3, the PlayStation Move sharp shooter represents a new step toward the ultimate goal of any cutting-edge video game: placing players directly in the game.”

In addition, a new “Jungle Green” DUALSHOCK®3 wireless controller will also be available in February 2011 for $54.99 (MSRP), to coincide with the upcoming launch of as Killzone 3. Adding to the already wide variety of colors available in the DUALSHOCK 3 family, the new “Jungle Green” color is tailored to the core fan and offers another option for gamers to choose from.
With a growing library of exciting titles and peripherals such as the PlayStation Move sharp shooter, gamers will be able to explore the precision and accuracy of PlayStation Move in ways that truly enhance the motion gaming experience.
