Variety
announced today that New Line Cinema has purchased the movie rights to
Gears of War. One has to wonder what they are going to make a movie of as the game (while awesome) didn't exactly have a lot of depth to it. The folks at Epic do have two tons of backstory and details about the items leading up to the game that might make it into the movie (as well as the near certain sequel and books).
