GTR 2 Demo released

by: Chuck -
More On: GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game
Well, I know what Dave is going to be doing this weekend as Simbin has released a demo of their upcoming game GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing.  The demo features a complete racing package including training, qualifying, warm up, and the ability to actually go through the race against 14 other AI drivers.  Right now it looks like you'll have to give up a pound of flesh to download the demo from Gamespot but hopefully it will be mirrored shortly.

The Pit Lane is Open!

With the demo released today it’s green flag for the first test drives of the new racing sensation „GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game“.

Darmstadt (Germany), July 21st 2006. Developer Simbin Development Team AB and Publisher 10TACLE STUDIOS cut the time racing fans have to wait for the sequel to their award-winning racing simulation. Today they drop the green flag on test drives and present the official „GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game“ demo for exclusive download on gamespot.com and their game website, gtr-game.com!

Players can already experience the totality of the powerful DirectX9 Graphics Engine enabled dynamic day/night changes, spectacular crashes and changing weather conditions. Amongst others, the demo lets players go the distance on a complete racing weekend with their choice of training, qualifying, warm-up and the race itself. Both beginners and pros can test themselves against 14 virtual drivers based on the unique artificial intelligence. In the demo players can choose between two teams with truly hot machines for the world-famous Barcelona Grand Prix course: the Team G.P.S. Giesse Squadra Corse with its Ferrari F575 and the Team DAMS with its Lamborghini Murciélago. With the introduction of the new Time-Trial Mode nothing stands in the way of the first multiplayer contests. In this mode players can easily save their laps and post the file on the Internet for comparison with other drivers.

„GTR 2 – FIA GT Racing Game“ is the official simulation of the FIA GT Racing Championship. More than 140 highly-detailed race cars, a choice of 34 different track designs, breathtaking graphics and outstanding physics provide incredible variety in the race for the championship. GTR 2 will be revving up on PCs everywhere in September 2006.
