You knew it was coming the day it was announced but now it's official as 1up is
reporting that
Gamestop is laying off in the Philadelphia area. In this business
this is what's known as "warming up" and I'm sure we are going to see a
lot more of these stores over the next few weeks. If you're a
regular EB customer it might be time to stop by your local store and
pay your respects to your favorite employee as you probably don't have
a lot of time before they are working at Sbarro. We only have a
few Gamestops here in Columbus so I imagine they will just close those
and re-brand the existing EB stores but you never know with these kinds
of situations.
