Now THIS is getting what you pay for! Sony has announced the first bundle of their “instant collection” initiative for PlayStation Plus. As they detailed in their press conference last night, Sony intends on reinforcing the value of the Plus service by increasing the number of free, quality titles offered on the service. That support begins today with the addition of a variety of free, full version games through the service.

Once today’s PlayStation Store update goes live, the following games will be available for download, free of charge, to all PlayStation Plus subscribers:
  • Choplifter HD
  • Hard Corps Uprising
  • inFAMOUS 2
  • Just Cause 2
  • Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
  • LittleBigPlanet 2
  • Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One
  • Saints Row 2
  • Sideway: New York
  • Virtua Fighter 5
  • Warhammer 40K: Space Marine
  • Zombie Apocalypse
More titles are expected to be offered in subsequent months as they will be rotated in and out of the offering plate with these games. That isn’t a bad deal for a service that is merely $17.99 / 3 months.
