Double Dragon: Neon release date is 11/12

More On: Double Dragon: Neon
Fans of the classic arcade and NES beat-em-up Double Dragon have been waiting patiently for a release date for the upcoming reboot, Double Dragon Neon. Well, the wait is over. The game will be available on PSN and XBLA starting September 12th. It'll cost $9.99 on PSN and 800 MS points in that weirdo XBLA currency conversion Microsoft still insists on using. I never got into the original game, not having an NES during Double Dragon's heyday, but if Neon is anything like Wayforward's other releases, I think the fans will be pleased.

Yo!

Since announcing the fresh new hotness that is Double Dragon: Neon, fans have been tapping their toes waiting for an official release date for the most radical game of 2012 (and 1987, because Double Dragon: Neon is so awesome it rocks across time and space). Finally, we can let the cat out of the bag – Double Dragon: Neon will be coming to PlayStation®Network on September 11 for $9.99 and to the Xbox LIVE®Arcade for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft on September 12 for 800 Microsoft points.

Now that you’ve got the 411 on Billy and Jimmy and their bro-tastic adventure to take on Skullmageddeon and save their girlfriend Marion, get yourself pumped up by high-fiving your nearest bud and visit www.doubledragonneon.com, the official place for all things Double Dragon: Neon. Developed by the geniuses from WayForward Technologies, Double Dragon: Neon is a love letter to the classic beat ‘em up genre with modern sensibilities and a thick slather of Eighties acid-washed aesthetic.
