More On:
Cevat Yerli CEO of Crytek the developer behind games such as Far Cry and the Crysis franchise will be giving the keynote at this years Game Developers Conference Europe. Mr. Yerli will be speaking on the future of the gaming graphics hopefully giving some insight on how to design a high performance graphics engine without pushing the limits of existing hardware. Other notable speakers will be Klaas Kersting CEO of Gameforge, Matias Myllyrinne Managing Director of Remedy, and Hilmar Petursson CEO of CCP with topics ranging from free-to-play vs. payment models for games and "winning the war" whatever that entails. The conference will take place August 17-19 at the Cologne Congress East Center in Cologne, Germany and while there certainly less (quantitative) power house development houses in Europe there's now doubt that the conversation will not be any less intellectual than the US GDC.
