Reinforcing Atari's new mission statement of being a distribution-only publisher, the ol' brand with three stripes signed a multi-year deal with CDV USA to publish upcoming action-RPG, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (Nov. 11, 2008 on PC, and Feb. 17, 2009 on PS3 and 360) in North America.  Not only that flagship title, but CDV's I Heart Geeks! and My Little Baby, both for the Nintendo DS, will be published by Atari.

cdv USA and Atari, Inc. Enter into Exclusive Third-Party Distribution Agreement

Atari Inc. to distribute cdv's highly anticipated Sacred 2: Fallen Angel and other major titles in North American market

New York, NY and Cary, NC. October 22, 2008 – cdv Software Entertainment USA, a premier North American publisher of video games, and Atari, Inc, a leading distributor and publisher of interactive entertainment, today signed a multi-year third-party distribution agreement. Through the deal, Atari will serve as the exclusive North American distributor for key console, handheld and multi-platform video games released under the cdv USA brand.

To launch the partnership, Atari, Inc will initially release several of cdv USA's key titles, including the upcoming action-RPG Sacred 2: Fallen Angel (Games For Windows®, Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system), I Heart Geeks! and My Little Baby (Nintendo DS™). Sacred 2: Fallen Angel will ship for PC on November 11, 2008, and will be released for consoles on February 17, 2009.
