Back in the 80's, I spent the greater part of my informative years glued to the front of a Commodore 64 after we wore out our Intellivision. If you were in the Toledo area surfing C-64 bulletin boards in the mid 80's, we probably have already met. When not running the BBS, I spent countless hours wandering around the streets of Skara Brae, as my life was immersed in The Bard's Tale series on the C-64.  After taking the early 90's off from gaming (college years) minus the occasional Bill Walsh College Football on Sega, I was re-introduced to PC games in the mid 1990's with a couple of little games called DOOM II and Diablo.  Since then, I had a tendency to focus on a single PC game at a time (playing it to the end), with the list highlighted by NHL 98, Diablo II, Age of Empires, Dungeon Siege and most recently Guild Wars.  For the most part, my PC gaming days have been relegated to just occasionally, but once Diablo III hits, I will be back in.

However, all of my gaming habits changed in 2005. I was called many names that year, but the one that stuck the most was "Luck Ass". Not only did my indulgence of a Big Mac land me a spanking new Sony PSP, but on September 21st, the Mountain Dew gods smiled down on me and said "You shall become a console gamer once again!" when I snared one of those Xbox 360s from EveryTenMinutes.com.  Since then, I have been hooked on classic Xbox Live Arcade titles, Rock Band series, GTA and Red Dead Redemption and just about any Call of Duty title.

I first broke into the gaming community with XboxOhio.  I was named Editor and Community manager in early 2006 and we managed to grow the sites registered community from a couple hundred into the thousands.  In fact, we ended up renaming it XboxAmerica and it is one of the larger Xbox themed community sites out there.  After joining GamingNexus in the Summer of 2006 and pulling double duty both here and at XboxAmerica, I finally came on board with GamingNexus exclusively in December 2008.  Since then, I have been working on many things, including initiating our coverage of Apple based mobile products (iOS) and expanding our news and reviews of Audio/Video gear and how it relates to gaming.

While I haven't yet made it to one of the major gaming conventions (PAX or E3), I have been a GamingNexus representative at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) and the 2011 CES will mark my 5th year anniversary.

Back in the real world, I am father of two living and working in the Columbus burbs and I have a B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University.
