More On: Game Masters: The Exhibition

COSI is an amazing place that almost everyone in and around the Central Ohio area has visited at least once in their life. Ohio’s Center of Science and Industry is a great place to go hands on with interesting exhibits as an interactive science museum and research center. In addition to their traditional exhibits that can be found year round, COSI also incorporates a variety of traveling traveling exhibits and events throughout the year. This summer they are hosting an amazing exhibit that focuses on the work of some of the video game industry’s leading designers and their personal stories pertaining to the creation of their most famous works.

Game Masters: The Exhibition is now open as a part of COSI’s general admission and will be on display through September 5, 2016. This is a very hands-on display that allows you to both learn and experience some of the biggest and most important titles in the history of video games. You’re able to go hands on with a variety of classic arcade games like Donkey Kong, Elevator Action, Space Invaders, and Tower of Druaga. As you walk through the exhibit, you’ll then move on to see and play other games like the original Super Mario Bros., Rock Band, Dance Central, Starcraft II, Minecraft, and plenty more. There are well over 100 interactive stations that highlight some of most prominent creators in the world of gaming, including Shigeru Miyamoto, Yu Suzuki, Tim Shaffer and numerous indie studios.

In the video below, you can check out an interview that we recently did with COSI’s Project Manager, Josh Kessler, highlighting what to expect when you visit as well as get a quick walkthrough showing off everything that is on display. In the video, we also announce a special event that we’ll be holding later this summer at COSI, which we will be detailing in more depth next week.
