So for the first time ever, we will witness a Pokémon commercial during the Super Bowl to celebrate the brands 20 years of existence. We all know that Super Bowl ads are not only super expensive, but heavily watched as well as scrutinized. So this foray by the Pokémon Company is a big gamble to get some exposure out there for a fairly recognizable brand. This ad comes on the heels of last week’s announcement of a new DS bundle and legendary Pokémon collectibles.
Although the ad has little hints throughout, you don’t even know it is for Pokémon until the :43 mark. Most people will probably be thinking the ad is for a shoe or sports apparel company, but nope, it’s all about Pokémon.
