Cover your console with real-wood veneer to add some refinement

It seems like we have heard about skins for PCs, consoles, handhelds and other devices for many years now providing you the opportunity to cover your device and alter its manufacture identity. Not surprising, we are starting to see more products like this pop up with the latest gen of consoles. However, not all are equal, as the company Toast is out to cover your consoles with a high-quality wood grain laminate that will convert your PS4 or Xbox One into a stylish natural looking device. The company produces laser cut wood-veneer covers designed for either the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in Walnut and Ash. The cover is attached to your console with 3M adhesive, adding about 0.8 mm of thickness to the device. While this may sound like a one way street (i.e, it won’t be coming off once added) the designs as seen below are simply stunning. I am partial to the darker woods, so the Walnut is definitely my style. It appears you can order three different types of covers, including the base model for $59, a cover with custom text engraving for $64 and a fully customized cover for $89 for fully customized covers.

Toast also offers covers for phones, tablets and laptops at the company website.

Toast’s real wood, customizable gaming console covers are a real game changer

When the newest phones and tablets come out, a seemingly infinite number of case choices simultaneously hit the shelves. However, there has been a lack of similarly stylish covers for gaming consoles - until now. At last, that sad-looking black box sitting next to the TV can become a high-end piece of architectural design: Toast has created PS4 and Xbox One covers that transform gaming consoles into sleek wooden sculptures.

Toast covers are truly one-of-a-kind. Each cover is laser-cut from real wood veneer and meticulously finished by hand for a precise fit and perfect finish. The unique grain patterns of each piece of veneer are cut to match, creating a seamless look as they wrap around the game console. The veneer is paired with a high-quality 3M adhesive that attaches the cover directly and securely to the console. This adds protection, grip and gorgeousness while retaining the sleek profile of the console’s design. The average thickness of a Toast cover is just 0.8 mm.

Gamers looking to make a big statement will love that they can personalize their Toast covers with laser-engraved text in a variety of fonts and sizes. Or, they can take it to the next level and customize a cover with an engraving of original artwork or a logo. A detailed image of a personal gaming avatar, artistically engraved by Toast’s designers for maximum impact, is the ultimate way to distinguish any gaming console from the rest.

Beyond the dialed-in style and tactile warmth that they bring to each device, Toast covers also provide a layer of protection against bumps, nicks and scratches. They feature multiple applications of a hand-rubbed finish to repel normal dirt and stains. The naturally durable wood gracefully weathers daily wear and tear. And, if a Toast cover ever has to be removed, it will come off cleanly without leaving any residue.

Toast gaming covers are available in four sustainable wood choices: walnut, ash, bamboo and ebony. Retail pricing starts at $59 for standard covers, $64 with custom text engraving, and $89 for fully customized covers.
