Kenshi and Johnny Cage all but confirmed for Mortal Kombat X

Two more characters are all but official for the final roster of Mortal Kombat X. The only thing missing now is for them to be shown off in an officially-sanctioned capacity by Ed Boon and his staff.

Johnny Cage was confirmed by Netherrealm’s Adam Urbano in an interview with GameCrate at this year’s GDC recently. There were two occasions in the interview when Urbano referenced Cage as a playable character in the game, even noting that the C-list actor has one of his favorite Brutalities in the game. It appears that this news slipped out a bit earlier than Boon had hoped for as the interview has since been pulled.

Kenshi’s reveal wasn’t quite as concrete, although he was mentioned in the interview as well. More telling though has been the fact that he has appeared in gameplay screenshots of the mobile version of the game. It is hard to imagine that the portable version would have characters not featured in the main game.

Mortal Kombat X will launch for PC, PS4, Xbox One, 360 and PS3 on April 14, 2015.
