Mortal Kombat X will be getting its own comic book next year

One of the best things about Netherealm Studios, Injustice was the comic book that was released along side the game. It was a great companion piece that added more context to the story of the game and was also great for fans of those superheroes and villains.

Next year however, Mortal Kombat fans will get their own companion piece to the new game as DC Comics has announced that a Mortal Kombat X comic will release next year. The comic will be written by Shawn Kittlesen, the art will be done by Dexter Soy and the covers will be done by Ivan Reis.

The comic will start in January and will release digitally. The comic will serve as a prequel to the storyline of Mortal Kombat X. No pricing or release date for when the first issue will launch.
