Legendary developer Neversoft closes their doors

More On:

After an announcement that they would be folding their studio into Infinity Ward earlier this year, legendary Activision developer Neversoft officially closed their doors today. Neversoft created two of Activision's biggest franchises, Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero, both of which have since been put to rest (for the time being). To honor their closing Neversoft employees burned a model of their famous eyeball symbol.

It is sad to see the developer of some of my favorite franchises close, but its good to know that they all still have jobs at the end of the day. I still feel that Neversoft could have made another killer Tony Hawk game if they gave it another shot, and was surprised when they weren't the developers on the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD. I might boot up Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 over the weekend to commemorate their glory days.
